Bullfighting is another instance where culture and tradition overrides empathy and humanity and anyone participating in these events and/or opposing an outright ban of them should be ashamed of themselves. It’s great to see the good people of Spain take to the streets to oppose this barbarism that is still taking place in their country.

The following video is disturbing however I think everyone should watch it particularly people who consume veal and other meats just to remind them that their food comes from the body of another conscious being very similar to their own. Perhaps a greater realization of this fact will motivate people to eat more things that don’t fear, scream, cry, bleed, and feel pain, e.g., plants.

To the Prime Minister of Spain: Please Ban Bullfights and Bull Runs

After signing that petition I sent this letter to Spain’s tourism offices in the U.S.:

Como Esta, I’m writing to let you know that I will not visit Spain until it bans the barbaric practice of bullfighting. Barbaric and inhumane traditions persist in many countries and regardless of where we were born or where we live we should all do what we can to help end them. Paz
